NBCSS Refund Policy

1. What "opened" means

A course is opened the first time you view any lesson of it, or start its quiz, while signed in. The platform records the first open (lesson progress or quiz attempt) with a timestamp; that record decides eligibility. Being enrolled in a course without opening it does not count as opening it.

2. Practitioner Program fee ($3,495, paid in full on approval)

Request a refund from your billing page or through support (support@nbcss.org). Refunds go to the original payment method within 10 business days of approval of the request. A refunded program fee ends program access and any enrollment; a completion certificate already issued is not affected.

3. Annual membership dues ($395)

Dues are charged only on approval and are not refundable after the membership term starts, except: (a) if NBCSS cancels your membership without cause before the term ends, the unused whole months are refunded pro rata; (b) if a renewal charge was made after you canceled renewal before the renewal date, it is refunded in full. Canceling renewal stops the next charge; it does not refund the current term.

4. Experienced-member final assessment ($195)

Refundable in full until the attempt is started. Once an attempt is started, no refund. If NBCSS cancels a scheduled attempt, you choose a new attempt at no charge or a full refund. A voided provider payment automatically restores the attempt to "available" when the payment is settled again.

5. Optional printed certificate ($49)

Refundable in full until the print job is submitted to production. After production, a damaged, lost or misprinted certificate is replaced once at no charge instead of refunded.

6. Website service ($197 setup including the first month; $99/month after)

The setup fee is refundable in full until the site build starts; once the build starts it is not refundable. Monthly hosting is prepaid; cancel any time and hosting ends at the end of the paid month with no partial-month refund.

7. Affiliate-referred purchases

A refund or chargeback of a referred purchase cancels or claws back the related affiliate commission (see Affiliate Program Terms).

8. Chargebacks

Please contact support before disputing a charge; most issues are resolved within two business days. A chargeback filed while a refund request is open, or for a benefit already received, is treated as a debt owed and may suspend membership until resolved.

9. How refunds are recorded

Every refund is issued through the payment processor against the original charge, recorded in the ledger with the reason and the staff member who approved it, and reconciled against the processor. Nothing is refunded in cash or to a different account.
